-

Our WDSL Season is wrapping up this weekend and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our players, Managers and Coaches involved in this League for their time, attitude and commitment during the season.

Our LSL First Team travelled to Whitehall for their final game of the season to meet with Home Farm on Sunday. Unfortunately the result was not the one we hoped for, but we now move forward with renewed optimism and with major plans in place to get this team back to winning ways next season.

Our U9 Black Team were invited to take part in a Memorial Tournament in Gorey Rangers on Saturday. Through fantastic teamwork and great football they managed to reach the final, narrowly losing out to Gorey Rangers in the final game. They were extremely fortunate to be presented with a trophy from ex Gorey Rangers player, Conor Levingston, who has been newly signed by Wolves.

Our U13A DDSL Team travelled to Castleknock on Saturday to play Castleknock Celtic. This team who are impressing more every week, walked out 3-1 winners through a goal from Chris Bouchier and a brace from Patrick O’Halloran.

Our U11 DDSL team won 3-1 away to Mount Merrion on Saturday. It was a tale of two halves 0-0 at break the game burst into life in the second half with goals from Adam O’Leary and Sean O’Neill. Mount Merrion pulled a goal back but Sean O’Neill settled the game with another well taken goal. A performance that was sluggish at times but the lads ground out the result in a good team effort especially in the second half.

Our representative Bryson Cup Team are diligently preparing for their upcoming trip to Belfast to take part in the Bryson Cup. The aim and focus of this Tournament is to promote friendship through football. The team is managed by Conor Breslin, Lee Kenny and Brian Higgins and kindly sponsored by Arklow Building Supplies.

Our Little Astros Club continues on Saturday morning at 10am until 11am. This Club is aimed at boys and girls aged between four and seven years of age and is a fun introduction to football in a very safe and secure environment. These sessions are completely free of charge and newcomers are always welcome.

Please check out our Facebook page at The Town-Arklow Town FC for all the latest updates within our Club.
