Fantastic show by first years

-

THE first years of North Wicklow Educate Together secondary school examined the lives of teenagers with their play ‘Hoodie’, written by Lindsay Price.

The first year drama club put the play on at their Putland Road School last Thursday evening.

The one-act play was directed by Emer Gency Foley.

Hoodie is a play about teenagers and the tornado of questions they face every day, including the need to look good, act perfect and fit in.

The piece examines image, appearance, and what may be the most difficult question of all - ‘do I stay in the clump or do I stand up and be who I want to be?’

The young actors worked very hard and produced a wonderful piece of theatre which their audience enjoyed very much.

Admission was free, with donations invited towards a backdrop for the drama club.
