MICROSOFT VISIT

On Wednesday, May 10, the St Kevin’s student digital leaders travelled to Microsoft HQ in Dublin for an exciting tour of the facility. The students concerned volunteer their time at lunch breaks to provide IT support to other students with the assistance of Ms Brandon.

Having seen the workspace in Microsoft and met several staff members, the group took a tour of the Xbox development area where we learned about what career options could lead to a career in Microsoft. Jason Lawlor was the lucky winner of an Xbox console while Cathal Brace took home a new iPad. Our digital leaders are Luke Hennessey, Jason Lawlor, Luke Dermody and Dylan Smith Bresnahan, Cathal Brace, Scott Nolan, Ben Haslam, Louise Fogarty and Ken Xing Yang Lin.

JCSP ACTIVITIES

Last week was an eventful week for JCSP students. The week started off with second years taking part in a two-day film making workshop. Students had an opportunity to develop and film their own production of which was a great success.

Meanwhile the third year group had their final celebration with the presentation of official Certificates for participation in the program. After their award the group went horse riding in the Hollywood Horse and Pony Trekking centre. Great fun was had by all.
