MEN’S SHED

The Shed has been a hive of activity recently and maximum use was made of the dry spell to prepare the raised beds for planting.

Our seaside readers may say that we are a bit slow off the mark but it must be remembered that we live on high ground. Our noble landlord has planted the spuds and it is somewhat ironic that following the recent visit of the English gentleman to the Shed, Pat saw fit to plant British Queens and King Edwards. It has been suggested that we mark out a ‘republican plot’ and plant a few Aran Banners.(For younger readers, these are varieties of spuds.)

Our young local councillor is always on hand to help but he was happy to give credit to the ‘other crowd’ for the load of farmyard manure. You can use your own imagination here because the words used cannot be printed.

Again we extend a sincere invitation to come along to the Shed on Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and midday but now that the gardening has commenced the Shed will be in operation on other days as well. For any information feel free to call 086 8650588 any time.
