Dickie Rock Golf Classic is launched at Carmona

-

As preparations get underway for this summers Dickie Rock Golf Classic, organisers paid a visit to a Carmona Services House in Kilpedder.

Carmona Services will be the beneficiaries of the proceeds of this year’s event which will take place on Friday, July 7.

Organiser Jack Finlay was joined by club captain David Dunne, Joe Creegan from sponsors Zurich Ireland Insurance, staff of the facility, and other committee members.

Pauline Bergin, regional director, was also available.

The house is one of six in the Bray area.

This will be the 17th year of the golf classic hosted by Dickie Rock.

Around 40 teams or more are expected to take part in what is always a great day of golf. The event will include a cabaret show and all proceeds will go towards improving living conditions for the residents of the Carmona Services houses.

Carmona Services, run by the St John of God Order, is a residential service for people with learning disabilities.

The members and committee are very much looking forward to the golf classic, which is always a great success.
