Assault charge

A REDCROSS man who works as a ship’s captain had a bench warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to show up in court as he was away at sea.

At last Wednesday’s sitting of Arklow District Court, Judge Kennedy refused Quinn’s solicitor’s application for an adjournment and said that it is a serious charge for which the defendant should be in attendance.
