Stole fuel

A 20-year-old Wicklow man who drove off from Boggan’s service station on the Newtown Road in Wexford town without paying pleaded guilty to theft of fuel.

Thomas Connors of 3 Ballyhenry, Cullenmore Bends, Ashford, Wicklow was at the District Court in Wexford more than a year after the date of the offence in February of last year.

His solicitor John O’Brien produced a €20 note for payment to Boggan’s and the defendant – unemployed and married with one child – was fined €100 with six months allowed for payment.
