Parish Fête 2017 Has Been Cancelled: Following a meeting of the Parish Fête recently, it was decided, that taking into consideration the poor attendance at last year’s Fête and the lack of volunteers to help with this year’s event we had no choice but to cancel it for 2017.

As the Fête was the main fundraiser for the parish for the year we have to replace it with something else, so, it was agreed that we hold a Monthly Cake Sale, together with, perhaps, a small amount of bric-a-brac, and a small raffle, to be held in the St Anthony Room. The first of these Sales will take place week ending the June 17 and June 18 and the sale of cakes on this particular weekend, will be combined with the sale of floral arrangements for the Parish Cemetery Sunday, which takes place on Sunday, June 18 (Father’s Day) in Springfield Cemetery at 2.30 p.m.

In order to make this first weekend a success, and to make the Cake Sales which we hope to hold on the last weekend of each month throughout the year, we need Bakers, and we need Buyers. So, if you would be willing to bake a cake (or two) to help us make these fundraisers a success. And remember. Everyone loves a homemade cake. Many Thanks.
