Avoca Community Hall are hosting a fundraising pub quiz Saturday, June 24, at 8.30 in Fitzgerald’s pub Avoca. Tables of four €40.

RED KITE RELAY RACE

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Avoca Active Retirement are having a tea dance on Sunday, June 18, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with music by the Wicklow man. Admin €5.

Active Retirement Ireland are having a marigold Health and wellbeing day on Thursday, June 15, from 10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. in the Brockagh Centre, Laragh with speakers and workshops., demos, samples and entertainers. Admission is free. Please try to attend if possible.

MINERS CROSS WALK

The annual walk to the Avoca miners cross will take place this year on Monday, June 5, in Avoca at 3 p.m. for prayer gathering at the miners cross at 4 p.m. The Parnell Pipe band will play some music at the cross. Refreshments afterword’s in the Avoca community hall all welcome.

PURE MILE

The next pure mile litter pick up will take place on Saturday morning, June 10. Avoca members please meet at the Old school at 10 a.m. Please contact Bernie Ivers telephone 087 1457973 for further info.
