Arrest after €400,000 of cannabis is discovered in home in the Bray area

A SIGNIFICANT amount of drugs was seized following the search of a house in the Bray area at the weekend. Cannabis with an estimated street value of €426,000 was found in the house following a joint operation between the Garda Drugs Unit and Bray and Dun Laoghaire gardai.

A suspect was arrested and charged under Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act following detention on Monday, June 4.

The suspect was brought before a special sitting of Bray District Court on Tuesday, June 5, where bail was denied.

The suspect has been remanded in custody to appear before the court again on Monday, June 12.

‘ This is a significant drugs seizure for the area,’ a garda spokesperson said.
