€250 donation from the Barbara Donnelly school

-

THE BARBARA DONNELLY School of Dance presented Purple House with a cheque for €250 last week at Swann Hall in Greystones.

They raised the money as part of their show ‘Dance Magic’ which was held in Mermaid Arts Centre recently.

Barbara said that she was very pleased to have raised the funds at the raffle during the show.

She said that prizes included a Martello voucher, a massage at uMama in Kilmacanogue, wine from O’Briens, a difuser from LaBelle and a whole host of other great prizes. She said that the business community and private individuals had given most generously.

Purple House were delighted to accept the funds and very grateful for them.

The show was a great success, and Barbara said that she had received fabulous feedback from the audience.

The youngest members of the cast were just three years old, with some of their mothers and even grandmothers also on stage.

Two of Barbara’s grandsons, one of her granddaughters, and two of her daughters danced alongside her on the night.

The production included excerpts from Swan Lake, Billy Elliott, La La Land and more.
