Mega dog show is a super hit

- By MARY FOGARTY

WONDER PAWS and Festina Lente raised over €600 at their mega dog show on Monday at the grounds of Festina Lente.

The money raised will go towards Dogs for Disabled and Wicklow Animal Welfare.

The funds came from fees paid to the fun show classes. Best in Show was Millie, an 8 year old Cavalier King Charles who won the Best Rescue class. Millie was adopted by her new family just months ago after being emancipated from life as a breeding bitch in a puppy farm. Thanks to the love, patience and care of her new family, Millie is adjusting to her new life and gaining confidence every day. She won a €75 gift voucher for Nature Nurture from WoofAdvisor.

Other classes included happiest dog, best hairdo, best trick, cutest puppy, diva darling and dog-gone handsome, as well as most impressive ears, and dog’s best friend.
