An Bothán

The AGM of the Network for Older People took place in the Brockagh Resource Centre in Laragh on May 23. It was beautiful sunny day and very well attended. An Bothán donated a carved lamp as a prize in the raffle fundraising for the Network. This was won by Geraldine Flannery of Vevay Active Retirement.

Minister Simon Harris was the speaker and launched the Age Friendly Strategy. He was given a big congratulations on his upcoming wedding. County Librarian Brendan Martin gave an update on Library activities and John Gill, Crime Prevention Officer Wicklow gave some sound advice on safety in the home.

An Bothán is a group for men which is open every Thursday from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sparktech, St Kevins Square, Bray. For more information ring Jim 086 8030445
