Sale held in memory of late Jackie Byrne

-

A FUNDRAISING sale of everything from a needle to an anchor was held recently in the Kilcoole Community Centre.

This was to raise funds to help the family of the late Jackie (John) Byrne.

Mr Byrne was just 39 years old. He was a resident of Surrey in England, and late of Dunbar Park in Wicklow Town.

His aunt Winnie Killeen, who has arranged the sale each year, organised this year’s sale in his memory.

He died suddenly on December 8 and is survived by his wife Cheri, their three children, his parents Jimmy and Terry, his four sisters and brother, extended family and friends.

It was a very successful and well attended event in Kilcoole. There was bric-a-brack, jewellery, clothes, books and more. People gave very generously to support the Byrne family following the tragedy they suffered last year.

Jackie had one sun and twin daughters. A funeral Mass was held in Wicklow last April.
