Packet Pier in Wicklow is getting €112,500 funding
WICKLOW Port is to receive funding of €112,500.
The funding, which was announced last week by Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Michael Creed, is part of a programme to help nine coastal local authorities under- take and complete 16 projects on harbours and slipways. The money in Wicklow is earmarked for proving and drainage works at Packet Pier in Wicklow Port.
The Local Authority programme forms part of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine’s 2017 Fishery harbour and Coastal Infrastructure Development Programme.
The Department co-funds up to 75 per cent the total cost of approved projects, with the Local Authority providing the balance.
