SPORTS AND PRIZE DAY

St Gerard’s Sports and prize day was held last weekend and once again the weather held up, for the best part of the day. It is a day which brings the whole school community together, form Montessori through to sixth year, and we celebrate effort, commitment to studies, achievement on the sports field and in academia. It also heralds the final roll call for the sixth years before they begin their final week in school.

VALEDICTORY

The sixth year Valedictory was held in school on Wednesday last where once again the weather was very kind to us. The graduation marks a celebration of the sixth years passage through St Gerard’s. For many, parents and students alike, it is an emotional occasion where remembrances are vividly recounted in our Valedictorians speeches. We thank the Head Girl, Head Boy and their Deputies for their work throughout the year and wish the class of 2017 every success in their forthcoming exams and for the future.

TRANSITION YEAR EVENING

Another significant event in our School calendar is our Transition Year Evening. Over the course of the evening every TY student presents their work and endeavours from the year. This includes projects, blogs, presentations, art, pottery and their TY Logbook, to name a few. It certainly highlights the talents of the year and affords them them the opportunity to showcase their work. A wonderful evening.

SCHOOL TOURS

We wish our TY students ‘Bon Voyage’ as they head off on their French exchange to Libourne and also to our TY’s who are taking on the Camino over the coming week. Happy travelling.

BEST WISHES

Finally we wish all our students success in their forthcoming examinations and to you, our readers, a pleasant summer.
