MENS SHED

‘Hare remover’ needed for the garden. An unwelcome visitor has been rooting among the emerging seeds in the beds. DNA and forensics have indicated that the unwelcome intruder is a hare. A big welcome awaits you if you come along to the SHED on Tuesdays between 10 and 12 at Pat Carr’s place in Knockrahee­n. Not sure about the hare though. Call 086 8650588 any time for further informatio­n. Ironic that we are looking for ‘hare remover’ when some of the members could do with some ‘hair restorer’

ANNAMOE CENTRE

Annamoe storeyhous­e will take place on Friday, June 9, in the Annamoe Centre. Family fun bingo will be on Sunday the 11th at 3 p.m. in the centre.

STREET FEAST

Roundwood and district com- munity council are organising a community street feast as part of national initiative on Sunday, June 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Vartry Heights. The street feast is really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you. Lots of fun stuff planned so do come along. All members of the community are welcome.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL

The Roundwood and District Community Council meeting will take place on Monday, June 12, at 8.30 p.m. I the parish centre.

PURE MILE WALK

A walk to the deserted village and the Kidrocks as part of the Pure Mile project will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday the 11th, meeting at the Wicklow way junction at Lake Park. The walk will follow the Wicklow way and then veer off to take in some fantastic views of lough Dan and luggala valleys If it’s a fine day why not bring the children and a picnic.

ROUNDWOOD DANCE

THE monthly Roundwood dance will take place in the parish hall, Roundwood on Friday, June 16, with music by Jimmy Hogan. All are welcome to a great night of dancing. WHIST.

Next wait will be on tonight Wednesday, June 7, in the Parish Centre.

BARN DANCE

Moneystown barn dance and barbecue in aid of Moneystown Community Centre will take place on Saturday, July 29, in the community centre starting at 8.30 p.m. Music by the Three Bobs 10 p.m. to midnight and the Roamin Cadillacs midnight to 2 a.m. and disco afterwards. PLANT WALK

As part of the Pure Mile initiative the residents have organised a walk with Wendy Nairn of Natural Environmen­tal Consultant in the Baltynanim­a area exploring the wonderful flora in our hedgerows on Monday, June 19, at 7 p.m. Please meet on the Lough Dan Road at the junction of the Wicklow Way with Lake Park.

CLOTHES RECYCLE

A reminder that the final clothes recycle takes place on Friday, June 9. Any sort of clothing will be accepted regardless of condition along with shoes, bed linen, towels. You can drop bags into the school on Thursday, June 8, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

MONEYSTOWN DANCE

The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday, June 9, from 9.30 p.m. till 12. Tea served, refreshmen­ts also available, door prizes. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive, etc.

ROUNDWOOD PARISH

Roundwood Parish Cemetery Sunday/Pattern Sunday – will take place on Sunday, July 23. Please note the 11.30 a.m. Mass will be Celebrated in Roundwood Cemetery. This Mass will be offered for all interred in the cemetery and will include a blessing of the Graves.

45 CARD GAME

A 45 Card Game takes place every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community.

Centre starting at a new time of 8.30 p.m. Tea served.

SET DANCING

Roundwood set dancing continues every Thursday night from 9 p.m. till 11 p.m. in.

Kavanagh’s Lounge, Roundwood. Music this month is Michael and Brian Admission remains at €5. Beginners are always welcome along with anyone looking for a bit of exercise and a funnight out.

HOME PRODUCERS MARKET

Roundwood Home Producers Market is open from at midday till 5 p.m. every Sunday. Come for all your fresh bread, home baking, jams etc. There will also be pictures, home crafts, plants and more. We look forward to seeing you all. New members always welcome.

ANGEL HEALING

Why not take two hours out of your week just for you and join us on a Monday evening at 7.30 in the Parish Hall, Roundwood. Here you will be part of a group who know that looking after their well being is so important. You will learn how to meditate and be still, to connect to your Angels and be supported by the wonderful people who have attended this group in Roundwood for 13 years.
