COOLBOY GAA
Last Thursday evening saw the lads take on Hollywood in the field. The lads got off to a good start and took the slightest of leads at half time on a score-line of four points to three. Hollywood came out fighting in the second half and with a number of missed opportunities from both teams, it finished a draw with nine points a piece.
Next up sees the team travel to Baltinglass on Sunday, June 11, with kick off at 11.30 a.m. with four matches left in the league, we’d love to see the community get behind the lads and cheer them on.
FIRST CARE GROUP
It has come to our attention that not every household in the community received an envelope and letter outlining our plans to purchase much needed defibrillators for the area. The committee take full responsibility for this and offer our sincerest apologies. The committee have been back around to all houses in the area during the week of May 29 and we thank everyone who made contributions towards this very worthy and possibly lifesaving piece of equipment. If you wish to make a donation and haven’t yet done so, please leave your envelope into the post office.
A course in CPR and defibrillator demonstration is being organised in the next few weeks. The course is approximately two and a half hours long and at a cost of €10 per person. Contact Stacey O’Brien 087 9285183 or Carol Byrne 087 7466194 ASAP if you wish to take part or for more information.
BEST WISHES
