THE Park Academy’s Nature Kindergarten is a unique, exhilarating outdoor classroom where children immerse themselves in nature and learn through it.

Set on five acres of beautiful forest in the Killruddery Estate, Co Wicklow, our classroom walls change colour every day, and the ceiling is a kaleidoscope of hues of blues, whites and greys.

Nature Kindergarten children develop holistically through engaging with a diverse range of activities that stimulate their entire repertoire of senses; hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, touching, vestibular and proprioception.

The experience empowers children to actively pursue their own learning and helps them to develop essential life skills, become their own risk assessors and solve problems.

The Nature Kindergarten is a child-led environment where the adult’s role is to support the child’s learning. All activities incorporate the principles of Aistear, the National Curriculum Framework.
