KILRUDDERY House is set to rock in August to the sounds of bands including Primal Scream, UB40, Jerry Fish, Hudson Taylor, Hothouse Flowers and many, many more as it hosts the fourth annual Groove Festival.

The family event combining music, food and fun activities, will run from Saturday, August 19, to Sunday, August 20, with more than 25 acts across two stages, with an electric mix spanning a number of decades. It’s well planned to appeal to both younger festival goers and parents.

As with most festivals food has an important role, with restaurant pop ups, street food and gourmet producers all involved. A little away from the main action, the Thrive offers a quiet reprieve with yoga and fitness classes, wellness workshops and inspiratio­nal talks. Dathai, John Smith and Katie Laffen, curated by Turning Pirate who offer vast experience in the local and internatio­nal music industry.

Family activities include festival favourites zorbing, face painting and the Killrudder­y petting zoo, as well as special events which include storytelli­ng, grow your own workshops and circus skills.

Visitors can purchase a ticket for either day or for both and are available from groovefest­ival.ie or at Ticket.ie outlets such as SuperValu in Bray, Blessingto­n, Baltinglas­s, Arklow, Rathnew and Greystones.
