MAN FLED THE SCENE OF CRASH

A man who was drunk when he fled the scene of a road traffic collision was handed two separate road bans at Bray District Court last Thursday.

Rudi Burke (37) 3 The Stables, Kilmurray Road, Kilmacanogue, was banned from driving for three years for drunk driving. He was also banned for two years for having no insurance, with the two periods of disqualification to run concurrently.

Gardai attended the scene of a crash in Bray. Burke was driving one of the vehicles and had fled the scene.

Garda Glenn Quinn saw Burke on Florence Road at 11.50 p.m. His speech was slurred and he was unsteady on his feet.

He was found to have 205 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of urine.

Burke admitted the offences.
