Panel of traffic wardens

Wicklow County Council will form a panel of traffic wardens to deal with the situation when an existing warden is absent from work.

Cllr Edward Timmins, pictured right, laid down a notice of motion at last week’s meeting of Wicklow County Council that the council ‘puts in place a panel in order to cover for school traffic wardens who may be absent to ensure the continuation of this valuable service in a safe manner’.

Cllr Timmins said that this is necessary to ensure the continuation of service when a warden is absent through holidays or ill health. Wicklow County Council has agreed to provide this list to schools across the county.
