Plucks Golf Society

The fourth outing of the 2017 season for the members of Plucks Golf Society took place last Saturday in Charlesland Golf Club. Mark Quinn put an end to the Finnerty Brothers dominance this season as he scooped first place shooting 35 pts. In second Jim Messitt with34 points and third was Trevor Carr, also 34 points. Category 1 winner was Paddy ‘Bounty’ Byrne, Category 2 was the Captain Gerry Tuohy while Category 3 was won by Brian Morgan. The Front nine was won by Liam Finnerty with Colm Griffith taking the back nine prize.

Nearest the pin winners Paddy Byrne Jnr who hit a glorious approach shot to the difficult 17th while Greg O’Donnell got lucky with his tee-shot to the seventh. The longest drive was hit by Liam Finnerty. Next outing is in the beautiful McCreddin Golf Club.
