Well done to all the children who took part in Track and Field events in Shillelagh last Saturday-reaching semi-finals Finals the U13 mixed relay missed gold by a whisker well done Carla Kavanagh, Finn Harris, Noah Harris, Lily Sheehey, Aaron Armstrong on silver medals. Ella Doyle had stiff competition to take gold in the Javelin. Roisin Treacy in her last year competing won gold in 1500m.

Other medal winners on the day were Eva Doyle 2nd, U6 60: Luke Kennedy 3rd, U8 60m: Carla Kavanagh 4th, U14 100m: Finn Harris 3rd, U12 600m:

Thanks to all at Ashford Athletic Club who trained the children especially Annmarie Kavanagh, Ashford school for the use of their pitch for Area finals. A very special thank you to Andrea Dunne Team Manager and her team who looked after the children on the day. Grateful thanks to the parents for all your help and support and to all the children who took part but did not make the podium on the day it was a great achievement to make it to Shillelagh and I hope you all enjoyed the experience and will continue to take part in Community Games.
