Transport interchange scheme makes progress following talks
THE Bray Transport Interchange is progressing, with Stakeholders in the Dart station area having been in consultation for a number of years.
Engineer Liam Burke said that the draft plans have gone through a few evolutions. ‘ This is the final one as agreed on by CIE,’ said Mr Burke. He said that the feedback has been generally positive.
At this stage it has been agreed by the NTA that consultants can be engaged to go forward with a detailed design.
The one element not agreed is the inclusion of a bus stop at the current car park, but this can be resolved.
The interchange scheme will see the area round Bray train station upgraded and improved.
National funding has been allocated to enable the upgrades to the area.
The works will make the Dart station more accessible.
The interchange will include improved conditions for pedestrians and cyclists, new bus and taxi management and changes to the car park.
