Fundraising lunch for day care centre

-

Open Door Day Care Centre enjoyed its Midsummer lunch last Saturday, with lovely weather to accompany the event.

Members, friends and supporters of the centre all gathered at the Vevay Road facility to enjoy a delicious meal and great company.

The luncheon is always a highlight of the fundraising calendar at Open Door.

Attendees enjoyed a delightful summer atmosphere as they helped to support a wonderful local organisation. Suzanne Cox of Open Door said that it was great fun and the food was delicious.

The room was brightly decorated with a summer theme including flowers and bunting.

Everyone had a fantastic time at the lunch, catching up with old friends and making new ones.

There is a great community surrounding the day centre of family members, friends and supporters.

Open Door caters for adults with varying physical disabilities as a result of stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, spina bifida and road accidents amongst others.

They provide a range of activities including physiotherapy, woodwork, art, music, gardening and much more.
