Music bursary for two Comhaltas groups

TRADITIONAL music education groups in Aughrim and Bray will receive €1,000 in Government.

Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCE) Anne Devlin in Aughrim and CCE Bray were both successfully approved for national Music Generation funding.

According to Wicklow TD Andrew Doyle, the funding can be used to purchase instruments and to help the groups with events and initiatives.

‘I am delighted to announce that local music education groups here in Wicklow will receive funding to help them continue to enable young people and children to access varied music education experiences. In order to qualify, our local groups had to demonstrate a well-established track record in music education provision with strong learning outcomes for participants,’ he said.
