Talent celebrated at Wolfe Tone awards
Annual awards enjoyed
WOLFE TONE YOUTH CLUB held their annual club presentation day on July 2 in a full Community Centre. The various awards were presented by Club President John Byrne.
Chairman Ron Nicholson was master of ceremonies for the day. He thanked all the club managers for their hard work over the past season.
He also thanked the parents for their support and said the club needs more children coming to play to continue the success of the club.
All Academy boys and girls, under-8, under-9 and under-10 players received club medals as a mark of their participation while under-12, 13 and under-15 received awards as follows:
Under-12 Player of the year: Szymon Jasinski
Under-12 Players player of the year: Charlie Ward
Under-12 Clubman of the year: Shane Merriman.
Under-13 Player of the year: Danny Lee
Under-13 Players player of the year: Chad O’Toole
Under-13 Clubman of the year: Chad O’Toole
Under-15 Player of the year: Ben Robinson
Under-15 Players player of the year: Sam Fowler
Under-15 Clubman of the year: Charlie More.
The under-12 team were also presented with their WDSL League and Shield runners-up medals from the season just ended.
The Eamonn Carroll memorial trophy for manager of the year was presented to under-12 manager David Clark.
