10 It Feels So Good Sonique There were five new entries in this UK top ten from 17 years ago this week, including Eminem’s ‘The Real Slim Shady’, the lead single from the rapper’s third album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’. Winner of a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance, ‘The Real Slim Shady’ gave Eminem his first UK number one. It reached number 4 on the BIllboard Hot 100 in the US, and was No. 1 in Ireland and Canada, and a top ten hit in many other territories. Straight in at number two in our chart from the year 2000 was Samantha Mumba’s debut single ‘Gotta Tell You’. Thanks to Eminem, it would not claim the top spot in the UK, but it did hit number one at home in Ireland and spent 21 weeks in the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 4.
