Noticeboard is requested for park

IN a notice of motion, Cllr Joe Behan asked that a community noticeboard be erected at the People’s Park in Bray, to keep the public informed about matters pertaining the park. He asked that the council establish an ongoing liaison committee with local residents to encourage cooperation between residents and the council regarding ongoing management and maintenance.

The response was that a notice board at the park can be considered as part of the Way Finding project for the town. The Bray Municipal District maintains a contact list for all community, residential and voluntary bodies that make themselves known to them. The district administrator’s office is happy to include any new representative group that have an interest in the benefits the park can provide.

Cllr Michael O’Connor had made a similar query and was happy with the response. Cllr Pat Vance said that Cllr O’Connor, and Deputy Brady, could include Cllr Behan in their next newsletters.
