Children’s soccer camp

The annual Glencormac United summer Soccer Camp for Kids from ages 4-14 took place all last week with over 60 children participating in a week of fun. The camp was run by Gary Messitt this year assisted by his Irish team mates Aaron Tier, Brody Davies, Sam Carroll and Ryan Nolan assisted by Glen’s former junior players Amy Greene and Patrick O’Toole. Gary prised the attitude of the camp members who were very well behaved and a credit to both their Glens Coaches and parents alike. Ben Merrigan won Player of the Camp this year and he was presented with his trophy by last year’s winner Megan Bradshaw along with the club’s Godfathers, Tommy and Christy Devlin. Congratulations also to Paul Prendergast for putting the whole event together and to all those who helped out with registration and administration, not an easy job. Well done to all on a very enjoyable week.
