RAILINGS
Will the restoration of the Seafront railings be completed before the Bray summer Festival? If the scaffolding with the material covering is still there during the air show it will be very difficult to prevent people from climbing all over it and sitting on it.
YOUTH CLUB
Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club is having its busiest summer time ever. Trips are being organised to the Hidden Valley, Clara Lara Fun Park, RNLI in Dun Laoghaire, Hook Head, and Wicklow Harbour. Water sports are continueing each week, and 12 members are training for canoeing certification.
GRIT ON THE ROAD
Grit on the road 24 inches out from the gutter outside two houses in Seacrest was swept, collected and weighed. The weight was one hundredweight. Given that there is the same amount outside every two houses in the area it adds up to many tons. Time it was all removed and perhaps it could be used elsewhere.
BRAY DIVERS
Year to date Bray Divers Sub-aqua club have enjoyed more than 50 dives locally and nationally. They are training two new divers and 11 snorkelers.
Soon there will be vacancies for more trainees. Depending on the individual a trainee could be using an aqualung in the sea with proficiency within three weeks of joining the club. For application call Albert at 087 6756439.
