Libraries to host beach awareness days for kids

ACTIVITIES to boost beach awareness amongst children and families will take place at various libraries next month.

It is part of Wicklow County Council’s Blue Flag Beach Awareness/Education Programme and some of the activities have been funded by the county council through the Local Agenda 21 Environment Partnership Grant.

Marine Dimensions will present a Marine Experience Touchpool and display at Arklow Library on Monday, August 1, Wicklow Library on Thursday, August 3, Ballymaltrim Library on Wednesday, August 3, and Greystones Library on Friday, August 4. Each event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Booking each library event is essential. Visit www.wicklow. ie to do so.
