Happy 30th to Shane Vickers

-

Congratulations to Shane Vickers, who celebrated turning 30 years young with a party for friends and family in the Fisherman’s Club on Bray seafront last Saturday night.

As most will know, Shane suffered serious injuries in an accident a few years back but thanks to the love of his family, the generosity of the community and the most important factor, Shanes determination, he has battled back and everyone at the party was amazed but thrilled to see Shane rise from his wheelchair and walk the length of the room and back which gained a huge cheer from those present on the night.

Tommy Traynor, who has helped Shane so much to get this far on his road to recovery, was there on the night. Shane is also grateful for the support he has received from everyone in Kilmacanogue who have helped him on his journey.

He would also like to give a special thank you to everyone for the lovely presents received and the staff of the Fishermans club who were so helpful on the night along with Garreth ‘Manwell’ Nolan, who did a right job collecting glasses and helping out.

Shane, happy 30th birthday from us all, you are truly an inspiration to anyone and a real survivor in every part of the word.
