KELLOGG’S CÚL CAMPS
The Kellogg’s Cúl Camp returns to Enniskerry from July 24 to July 28. This one-week GAA camp provide boys and girls between the ages of six and 13 with an action-packed and funfilled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games. Activities are player-centred with a games-based approach with a strong emphasis being placed on personal development and well-being.
The camp runs daily from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., the cost is €60 per child or discounted to €50 for two or more. Each child will receive a bag pack, jersey and a zip GAA top. This is an annual event which has proven to be very popular over the last number of years, children don’t have to be GAA club members with anyone between the ages of 6-13 welcome. At Powerscourt Golf Club the friends of Ben Melia in conjunction with Enniskerry YC AFC are holding a golf classic in Powerscourt Golf Club on Sunday, September 3, The format will be a team of four (any combination). 2017 ROUNDWOOD STREET FESTIVAL
The 2017 Roundwood Street Festival is coming our way again soon and will take place from Wednesday, August 2, to Sunday, August 6, with plenty of activities of interest for young and old alike. CONCERT IN CALARY CHURCH
Wicklow Proms and music in Calary will present ‘Songs Of Life, Light And Liberty’ at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, in Calary Church. This concert consists of songs from the Jeanette MacDonald songbook and music from the movies. There has been some changes to the day trip and the date has been changed to Friday, July 28, as it is not possible to visit St Mel’s Cathedral on a Saturday.
The bus will pick up in Roundwood at Parish Hall at 9 a.m. and travel to the Greville Arms, Mullingar for tea and scones We will visit Tullamore Distillery for some whiskey tasting and visit St Mel’s Cathedral. There will be free time in Mullingar for shoping. Our evening meal will be in the Greville Arms with after dinner entertainment till 10.15 p.m. and then home. Total cost €70 per person. BLESSING OF GRAVES
Roundwood Parish Cemetery Sunday/Pattern Sunday – will take place next Sunday, July 23. Please note the 11.30 a.m. Mass will be Celebrated in Roundwood Cemetery NOT in the church. This Mass will be offered for all interred in the cemetery and will include a blessing of the Graves (People are welcome to bring their own folding/portable chairs). The stewards earnestly appeal to the good nature of all those attending the ceremony and request them not to park any vehicles on the Oldtown Road between Vartry House and the cemetery. All those who are able to park in the village and walk up are asked to do so, in order to allow room for the less able-bodied parishioners to be driven to the cemetery.
