AFFORDABLE PRICES AT THE THRIFT SHOP

KILCOOLE Thrift Shop have a number of school uniform items available, at a fraction of the cost of buying them new.

They have items mostly for pupils in junior infants to sixth class at Kilcoole Primary School.

The primary school uniform includes grey trousers or a skirt, a white shirt and blue jumper with a crest.

They also have a navy tracksuit, with the school crest on the top, anda white airtex.

The shop has quite a few of them in stock. They also have some Coláiste Chraobh Abhann uniforms for first to third years, with none in stock for the seniors at the moment.

The junior students at the secondary school wear a blue shirt, light blue jumper, and grey trousers or a green tartan skirt.

Prices are very affordable, with the most expensive item a jumper at €5.

Ann Prendergast at Kilcoole Thrift Shop said that she has a girl going into first year in Coláiste Craobh Abhann and that the various expenses can add up for parents.

Off her six children, one is in primary school, two in secondary school, and three finished.

Ann said that if a person is looking for a certain size skirt or jumper, they can leave their details at the shop to be contacted if and when it comes in.

She said that they also have a selection of school books.
