DOG SHOW

Our fun annual Dog Show in aid of Wicklow Animal Wefare takes place on August 6 at the Glendalough car boot sale at Brockagh Resource Centre. Registration at 1.30 p.m. with show starting at 2 p.m. A big raffle on the day with plenty of car boot stalls to buy your bargains at. Contact Michelle at 0404 45600 to book a stall.

BASKET-MAKING

This full day, traditional basket-making workshop will teach you basic basketry techniques. Taught in a relaxed learning environment, you will bring home your own completed small round willow basket (a skib).

The workshops will take place in the Brockagh Centre from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. 23rd and September 17, seventh and October 21. Classes are small with five participants. Garden workshop also available on request. Visit wicklowwillow.ie, phone Aoife at 087 9773622 or email info@wicklowwillow.ie.

LOUGH DERG

There is a retreat to Lough Derg on September 2 to September 3 (departing midmorning from Rathdrum Memorial Park with an overnight stay in Central Hotel, Donegal). Contact Mary at 0404 45119 for further information. The organisers are Mary Turner and Breda Fitzgerald (0402 39043 or 086 3073060).

MOBILE LIBRARY

The mobile library visits Lynhams car park every second Thursday from midday to 12.50 p.m. The next dates are August 3, 17 and 31.
