History society seeks help

The Kilmacanogue History Society members are currently on their summer recess. However, the committee is currently drawing up a full programme of speakers for the 2018 season.

The society endeavour to contribute to the preservation of local history and in this regard, they would like your help. If you have a story of interest about a local family, or indeed your own family, please let us know. Old newspaper cuttings, old photographs and memorabilia are of real interest to the society. For those who have a story to tell, we will make a recording, which can be transcribed into manuscript form.

They intend that this information will be published in the society booklet to be preserved for future generations. All photographs and documents will be safely returned to their owners.
