Families are invited to tackle new Hell and Back challenge

-

THE family that plays together stays together according to the old adage and a new Hell and Back Family challenge is being introduced this September.

On September 10 Hell and Back Family will take place at Killruddery.

The exciting new adventure challenge will bring adults and children aged over 10 years of age together for a 7km endurance run around the stunning Killruddery Estate.

Taking place on the day after the gruelling adult Hell and Back, the specially adapted family course, as seen on RTE’s Ireland’s Fittest Family, becomes an adventure playground, where families must work together to run, climb, crawl, and dunk their way through over 30 torturous natural and man-made obstacles, including the water jump, hell slide, half pipe, Satan’s pit and ice baths.

A novel family day out, Hell and Back Family is the ideal opportunity to unplug kids from their phones, computers and game consoles with the offer of an action-packed afternoon adventure as the summer holiday come to an end.

Aidan Walsh, Operations Director with Alive Outside, the company behind all the madness, said: ‘Hell and Back Family is shaping up to be a fantastic event where mums, dads and children must all work together to make it through the torturous 7km course – it truly is the ultimate family bonding experience!’

To register for Hell and Back Family, go to www.hellandback.ie. Prices start from €103.50 per family (1 adult, 2 children).
