Focus switches

-

WITH his cup ambitions laid to rest by Cork City, Bray Wanderers boss Harry Kenny will now turn his focus on keeping his side in the Premier Division.

A second half strike from Kieran Sadlier ensured a safe passage to the second round of the FAI Cup for the Leesiders at the Carlisle Grounds and Kenny must now focus on keeping top flight football at the seaside venue.

Nine points is all that separates the Seagulls from the drop zone ahead of tomorrow’s trip to the Showgrounds to take on Sligo Rovers but the Shamrock Rovers legend reckons that six points out of the 24 still available to his side should steady the ship.

Kenny commented: “It never really went away (relegation worries)! I think we’re nine points ahead of the side in third from bottom and we’ve a tough game in Sligo on Tuesday and anything can happen in this league. Limerick are in a bit of freefall as well
