St Peter’s and Aughrim set for returns
ST PETER’S BHOYS will be returning to the Wicklow League for the new season. They will be managed by former Oscar Traynor boss Shane Greene.
Aughrim Rangers are also attempting to return to the league for the coming season.
Following a Facebook appeal that has garnered plenty of interest and support it is believed that 19 players have been tempted to go in search of the football boots and shin guards to return Aughrim Rangers to the soccer fields of Wicklow again.
Rathnew have drawn an away tie with Sheriff YC in the LFA Senior Cup First Round.
The full draw is as follows: Collinstown FC v Crettyard United; Sheriff YC v Rathnew AFC; Muirhevnemor FC v Mullingar Athletic; Liffey Celtic v North End United; Evergreen FC v Mullingar Town; Usher Celtic v VEC FC
The Wicklow and District League office will be open Monday from 7.30pm until 9pm for clubs to register teams and players.
It’s final call for clubs to register for the under-20s league.
The Leinster Football League teams so far are Willow. Knockmitten, Castleknock, Ardmore Rovers, Knocklyon and Templeogue.
