with the same beach events as the nippers. The competition was tight and fierce as lots of these competitors competed for places within the Irish squad. The Wicklow girls team finished in top place while the Wicklow boys finished in 3rd place.

There will be four Wicklow members on the Irish team at the forthcoming European Youth and Senior Surf Lifesaving Competition in Belgium in early September. These are Amy O’Brien, Hana Blake, Emer Kelly and Nicole Devitt.

Thanks were extended to all the competitors as well as coaches, managers, referees, parents, Donal Maguire, Wicklow County Council, the Civil Defence and the lifeguards.
