TIDY TOWNS EVENTS

Rathdrum Tidy Towns will be holding a Whiskey Tasting evening on Friday, September 1, in Jacobs Well at 8.00. Tickets are priced at €20 and there is a limited availability. Contact Liam Kinsella at 086 2287194 or Mary Farrell at 087 2208728 for tickets.

DATES FOR THE DIARY – October Bank Holiday weekend we will be holding a fancy dress ball in Avondale GAA Complex. In November will see us holding our annual Memorial Family 5k Walk/Run. Keep an eye on the Tidy Towns Facebook page and in these notes for further details.

TROUT ANGLERS CLUB

The RTAC recently held their Jimmy Kelly Perpetual trophy competition on the beautiful Avonmore river. This is an annual competition held in memory of Jimmy, who was very involved in the club for many years and who loved his fishing. His family would like to thank the RTAC for honouring him in this way. The winner was Stewart McGrane, second was Colm Mullally and third was Brendan Driver.
