Junior lifesavers take
LEINSTER NIPPER AND JUNIOR SURF LIFESAVING CHAMPIONSHIPS
WICKLOW HOSTED the Leinster Nipper and Junior Surf lifesaving championships in Brittas at the weekend with a large turnout on both days.
The sun was shining on both days and there were perfect water conditions on the blue flag beach.
On Saturday children aged between 8 years to 14 years competed in swimming, paddle board, fin swimming, taplin relay which combines all of the water events, beach sprints, beach sprint relays and flags.
On Sunday teens between 14 and 19 years competed within the International rules of surf lifesaving. The events that the athletes take part in are swim, board, international ski, rescue tube, board rescue and taplin relay along
