Woodie’s heroes raise thousands

-

STAFF at Woodie’s in Bray are local heroes, having raised €14,121.92 for Temple Street Children’s Hospital, the Jack and Jill Foundation, Make a Wish, and ACT for Meningitis.

This was through their ‘Heroes’ charity campaign which took place over the past four weeks.

Events at the store over the course of the campaign included face painting, a visit by the Irish army, a display by the Order of Malta, and much more.

Sponsors of the fundraising ef- forts over the month included Patrick O’Kelly jewellers, Four Star Pizza, Mizzonis, and Magical Memories Costume Hire.

Bray Fire Brigade put their considerable skills to the test with a car wash which took place at the store, and TNT Gym in Bray donated a raffle prize of a month’s membership.

Children visiting Woodie’s could get their picture taken in a special super-hero booth set up for the occasion.

Customers gave generously throughout, resulting in a fantastic donation to be divided amongst the four charities.

The team worked extremely hard to make the events fun for everyone, and encourage the public to help support children in need.
