A round trip of over 1,000kms is not exactly what Harry Kenny wanted but he is relishing a pop at the IRN BRU Cup nonetheless.

His Bray Wanderers side have been pitted against Elgin City of League Two in the Scottish League and the Seagulls will travel there on Saturday, September 2nd, for their second round clash and Kenny can’t help but cast an envious glance at Sligo Rovers who landed a home draw against Falkirk.

The Co. Wicklow club will receive a €5000 grant to cover travelling costs and every team will also receive a participation fee. Kenny discovered the opponents on Thursday and is already plotting a scouting mission but they are not going to take this competition lightly.
