GAA CLUB NOTES

Unfortunately our senior team lost out on a narrow margin to Coolkenno in the league last Saturday night. The team displayed a much improved performance however the result means we know rely on other results to avoid relegation. The lads played Kilmac in the league last night (Tuesday).

Our junior magpies nursery resumes next Saturday and we are entering the final few weeks as we will wrap things up on the September 2 for his term. The nursery runs each Saturday at 10 a.m. on the pitch and we cater for kids aged 4-8 and great fun is had by all every week. The under-seven and under-9s had a blitz last Friday in Bray and had a great night; they have the last blitz of the year in Ballinakill on Saturday, September 2, Both of these teams are training on Tuesdays at 6.30 p.m.

The under-11s are starting to gain a bit of momentum as players return from the holidays, training is on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

The under-13s are doing well in the league and although beaten by Annacurra recently we still remain in the top four play-off places they train on Mondays at 6.30 p.m.
