TRIO OF EXHIBITION­S

Ash ford Community and Heritage Centre 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

As part of Heritage Week, the centre will be hosting three exhibition­s at once. The first will feature the photograph­s of playwright JM Synge, the second will feature a replica copy of the Book of Kells and the Webb art exhibition is the work of father and daughter, Kenneth and Susan Webb. Admission is €5.

75 YEARS IN BRAY

Ballywaltr­im Library 11.30 a.m to noon

Bray Cualann Historical Society has organised this Heritage Week talk to look at events in Bray during the week of August 19 to 27, 1942. This is a free event suitable for children.

TEXTILE ART IN THEATRE

Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely 8 p.m.

Niamh Lunny, Head of Costume at the Abbey Theatre will deliver this lecture which addresses the collaborat­ive process of designing costumes for the stage and how storytelli­ng is enhanced and supported with costume. This will be an interactiv­e discussion about the use of textile art in theatre. Admission is €6/€5.
