Hugh rarely had a complaint and was content with life

-

COMMUNITIES in Bray and Wexford were saddened to learn of the recent death of Hugh David Forde.

A resident of Trinity Street in Wexford, Hugh was formerly of Railway House on Albert Walk and Fairyhill on the Killarney Road in Bray.

He died peacefully on August 16 at the Mater Hospital in his 56th year.

He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved mother Mary, son Hugh, his loving wife Mairead, cousin Cathy, her husband Barry and their baby Luke, and also by the extended Forde family of Cuala Road in Bray and many friends in Bray and Wexford.

Hugh had been living in Wexford for the past five years.

His hobbies included amateur radio, fishing, and he was a member of the gun club in Bray. He was an avid reader and loved computers and technology. He took great pleasure in both cooking and gardening.

He was a very clever man and enjoyed attending school. He went to Pres in Bray from the time he was four years old.

He suffered illness bravely for many years. He wasn’t a complainer and was a very contented man whose interests kept him going. He built his own CB radio and would contact people from all over the world.

Hugh’s mother Mary said that she could not thank the Mater Hospital enough for their outstanding care of her son.

She also said that the friends and neighbours in both Wexford and Bray were exceptional.

Members of Mary’s beloved Square One expressed their condolences to Mary, as did members of the radio society, Hugh’s former colleagues and many others.

A large number of mourners attended a committal service in Hugh’s memory at Mount Jerome Crematorium on Tuesday, August 22.
