Bikers on run for Lakers

-

NORTH Wicklow Motorcycle Enthusiasts saddled up recently to support the work of Lakers.

The run set off from the Brady Centre, Lakers HQ, on the morning of Sunday, August 20, and set off south for a spin.

The day also included a hand of poker among the participants. Bikers from all over got together to help raise money for the sports and recreation club for people with an intellectual disability. Despite changeable weather there was a great turnout and everyone enjoyed the beautiful landscape of County Wicklow out on the roaad.

The bikers enjoyed a barbecue afterwards to keep them focussed for the poker game.

This was the 7th year of the run which the group thoroughly enjoys each time.

North Wicklow Motorcycle Enthusiasts also ran a raffle in aid of Lakers for an Aprilia RSV4 carbon fibre helmet signed by Eugene Laverty and worth €700, donated by Trevor Baker from Moto4U motorcycles.
